<p data-adtags-visited="true">I was asked the following question:</p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true"><strong>Was Job an Israelite or Gentile?</strong></p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">It is hard to say for certain, because we
are not told in the book. Peleg, Noah’s great-great-great-great grandson
through Shem, had a brother named Joktan who had a son named Jobab, as
we read in Genesis 10:29. If this Jobab was the same as Job, that would
make Job Abraham’s great-great-great-great uncle’s son.</p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true"><em>29. Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.</em></p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">Edom, the nation descended from Esau, once
had a king named Jobab. He is actually listed as the second king of
Edom. If this was Job (Job was certainly rich and important enough to
have been a king,) then he was related to Israel, but not actually an
Israelite, but a descendent of Abraham and Isaac and Esau. You can read
about him in Genesis 36:33.<span id="more-1401"></span></p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true"><em>33. And when Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place.</em></p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">This Jobab is actually the one that the Septuagint identifies as Job in a section added at the end of the book.</p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true"><a href="http://www.ecmarsh.com/lxx/Job/index.htm">http://www.ecmarsh.com/lxx/Job/index.htm</a></p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">Issachar, one of the fathers of the twelve
tribes, had a son named Job. This would make him the grandson of
Israel. If so, he lived before the Israelites were made slaves in Egypt,
and was an Israelite. Genesis 46:13 talks about this.</p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true"><em>13. The sons of Issachar were Tola, Puvah, Job, and Shimron.</em></p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">There were also two Benjamites named Jobab, but they were late enough that it seems unlikely that Job was either of them.</p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">One hint may be the identity of Job’s
friends. There is an Eliphaz who is the son of Esau in Genesis 36:4,
10-12, 15-16; I Chronicles 1:35-36. If this was the Eliphaz of the
story, it would be too late for the first Job. Though if Job was an
Edomite, it would make sense that he would be friends with another
descendant of Esau, yet perhaps (?) Eliphaz would have lived too early
to have been friends with the Job who was also descended from Esau. If
so, this would make Issachar’s son the most likely candidate. The other
two friends are not mentioned anywhere else, so they do not help us.</p>
<p data-adtags-visited="true">So it is hard to say for sure who Job was.
Take your pick. The Septuagint thinks he was the one descended from
Esau. But if the Eliphaz who was Esau’s son is the same Eliphaz, the one
who was descended from Issachar may be more likely. So in the final
analysis it is hard to say. He may or may not have been an Israelite.</p>

processed the same way inside the body.</p><p>Normal starches are broken
down into glucose and absorbed. This is why your blood glucose, or
blood sugar, increases after eating.</p><p><a href="https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/resistant-starch-101">Resistant starch</a> is resistant to digestion, so it passes through the intestines without being broken down by your body.</p><p>Yet it can be broken down and used as fuel by the bacteria in your large intestine.</p><p>This also produces short-chain fatty acids, which can benefit the health of your cells.<br /><br /></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>Top sources of resistant starch include potatoes, green bananas, legumes, cashews and oats. Resistant starch is a special carb that resists digestion by your body.
It is considered a type of fiber and can provide health benefits.</blockquote></div></div><div><div id="TOC_TITLE_3"><p>Resistant starch provides several important health benefits.</p><p>Since it is not digested by the cells of your small intestine, it is available for the bacteria in the large intestine to use.</p><p>Resistant starch is a prebiotic, meaning it is a substance that provides “food” for the good bacteria in your intestines (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25582732" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">2<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Resistant starch encourages bacteria to make <a href="https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/short-chain-fatty-acids-101">short-chain fatty acids</a> like butyrate. Butyrate is the top energy source for the cells in your large intestine (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4352178/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">3<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12480096/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">4<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>By
aiding in the production of butyrate, resistant starch provides the
cells of your large intestine with their preferred source of energy.</p><p>Additionally,
resistant starch may decrease inflammation and effectively change the
metabolism of the bacteria in your intestines (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9440388" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">5<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23385525" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">6<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>This
leads scientists to believe that resistant starch may play a role in
preventing colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9440388" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">5<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23385525" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">6<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>It
can also reduce the rise in blood sugar after a meal and improve
insulin sensitivity, or how well the hormone insulin brings blood sugar
into your cells (<a href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1464-5491.2010.02923.x/full" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">7<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8092089" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">8<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Problems
with insulin sensitivity are a major factor in type 2 diabetes.
Improving your body’s response to insulin through good nutrition can
help fight this disease (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24315620" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">9<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15734833/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">10<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Along with potential blood sugar benefits, resistant starch may be able to help you feel fuller and eat less, too.</p><p>In
one study, researchers tested how much healthy adult men ate at one
meal after consuming resistant starch or a placebo. They found that
participants consumed about 90 fewer calories after consuming resistant
starch (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19857367" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">11<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Other research shows that resistant starch increases feelings of fullness in both men and women (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19285600" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">12<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26514213" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">13<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Feeling full and satisfied after a meal may help reduce calorie intake without the unpleasant feelings of hunger.</p><p>Over time, resistant starch could potentially help you lose weight by increasing fullness and decreasing calorie intake.</p><blockquote><strong>Summary:</strong>
Resistant starch can provide fuel for the good bacteria in your large
intestine and may improve insulin resistance. It also promotes feelings
of fullness and can lead to decreased food intake.</blockquote></div></div><div><div id="TOC_TITLE_4"><p>One type of resistant starch is formed when foods are cooled after cooking. This process is called starch retrogradation (<a href="http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0144861799001472" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">14</a>, <a href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1541-4337.2006.tb00076.x/abstract" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">15<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>It
occurs when some starches lose their original structure due to heating
or cooking. If these starches are later cooled, a new structure is
formed (<a href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1541-4337.12143/abstract" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">16<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>The new structure is resistant to digestion and leads to health benefits.</p><p>What’s more, research has shown that resistant starch remains higher after reheating foods that have previously been cooled (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26693746" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">17<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Through these steps, resistant starch may be increased in common foods, such as potatoes, rice and pasta.</p><h3>Potatoes</h3><p>Potatoes are a common source of dietary starch in many parts of the world (<a href="http://www.fao.org/potato-2008/en/world/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">18</a>).</p><p>However, many debate whether potatoes are <a href="https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/are-potatoes-healthy">healthy or not</a>. This may be partially due to potatoes’ high glycemic index, a measure of how much a food raises blood sugar levels (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18835944" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">19<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>While
higher potato consumption has been associated with an increased risk of
diabetes, this could be caused by processed forms like french fries
rather than baked or boiled potatoes (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26681722" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">20<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>How
potatoes are prepared impacts their effects on health. For example,
cooling potatoes after cooking can substantially increase their amount
of resistant starch.</p><p>One study found that cooling potatoes overnight after cooking tripled their resistant starch content (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1609748" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">21<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Additionally,
research in 10 healthy adult men showed that the higher amounts of
resistant starch in potatoes led to a smaller blood sugar response than
carbs with no resistant starch (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8092089" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">22<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><h3>Rice</h3><p>It
is estimated that rice is a staple food for approximately 3.5 billion
people worldwide, or over half of the world’s population (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25224455" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">23<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Cooling rice after cooking may promote health by increasing the amount of resistant starch it contains.</p><p>One
study compared freshly cooked white rice to white rice that was cooked,
refrigerated for 24 hours and then reheated. The rice that was cooked
then cooled had 2.5 times as much resistant starch as the freshly cooked
rice (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26693746" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">17<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>Researchers
also tested what happened when both types of rice were eaten by 15
healthy adults. They found that eating the cooked then cooled rice led
to a smaller blood glucose response.</p><p>While more research in humans
is needed, one study in rats found that eating rice that had been
repeatedly heated and cooled led to less weight gain and lower
cholesterol (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22413036" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">24<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><h3>Pasta</h3><p>Pasta is commonly produced using wheat. It is consumed all over the world (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19386614" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">25<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>, <a href="http://www.internationalpasta.org/index.aspx?idsub=118" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">26</a>).</p><p>There
has been very little research on the effects of cooking and cooling
pasta to increase resistant starch. Nevertheless, some research has
shown that cooking then cooling wheat can indeed increase resistant
starch content.</p><p>One study found that resistant starch increased from 41% to 88% when wheat was heated and cooled (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19562607" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">27<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>However, the type of wheat in this study is more commonly used in bread than pasta, although the two types of wheat are related.</p><p>Based
on research in other foods and isolated wheat, it is possible that
resistant starch is increased by cooking then cooling pasta.</p><p>Regardless, more studies are needed to confirm this.</p><h3>Other Foods</h3><p>In addition to potatoes, rice and pasta, <a href="https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/9-foods-high-in-resistant-starch">resistant starch in other foods</a> or ingredients can be increased by cooking and then cooling them.</p><p>Some of these foods include barley, peas, lentils and beans (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19562607" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">27<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>More research is needed to determine the full list of foods in this category.</p><blockquote><strong>Summary:</strong>
The resistant starch in rice and potatoes may be increased by cooling
them after cooking. Increasing resistant starch may lead to smaller
blood sugar responses after eating.</blockquote></div></div><div><div id="TOC_TITLE_5"><p>Based on the research, there is a simple way to increase your resistant starch intake without changing your diet.</p><p>If
you regularly consume potatoes, rice and pasta, you may want to
consider cooking them a day or two before you want to eat them.</p><p>Cooling these foods in the fridge overnight or for a few days may increase their resistant starch content.</p><p>Moreover, based on data from rice, cooked and cooled foods still have higher resistant starch content after reheating (<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26693746" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">17<span><span>Trusted Source</span></span></a><span></span>).</p><p>This is a simple way to increase your fiber intake since resistant starch is considered a form of fiber (<a href="https://www.nap.edu/read/10490/chapter/9" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">1</a>).</p><p>However,
you may feel that these foods taste best freshly cooked. In that case,
find a compromise that works for you. You might choose to sometimes cool
these foods before eating them, yet other times eat them freshly
cooked.</p><blockquote><strong>Summary:</strong> A simple way to

<p>Tradition has it that the church at Antioch was founded by St. Peter
himself, who served as its bishop for seven years before moving on to
found the church at Rome. (Robert Spencer <a href="http://www.crisismagazine.com/2012/the-other-successors-of-peter-the-patriarchs-of-antioch" target="_blank">writes</a> that “Gregory
III Laham, the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, has joked
that if the Apostle Peter had just stayed put, he himself would be the
earthly head of the Catholic Church today.”)</p>

<p>Only decades later, during the reign of Trajan (98-117), another
bishop of Antioch would also make the journey to Rome. This was St.
Ignatius, who had succeeded St. Evodius as Antioch’s third bishop.
Sometime around 107 or 110, by order of Trajan, ten soldiers brought
Ignatius to Rome, where he was exposed to wild beasts.</p>
<p><b>The Epistles of Ignatius of Antioch</b></p>
<p>There were multiple stops on the journey to Rome. At Smyrna, Ignatius
met with the bishop there, St. Polycarp, and with representatives of
several Christian communities of Asia Minor. He gave those
representatives letters to bring to <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1628" target="_blank">Ephesus</a>, <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1629" target="_blank">Magnesia</a> and <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1630" target="_blank">Tralles</a>. Also sent from Smyrna was his <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1631" target="_blank">letter to the Church in Rome</a>, in which he reflected at length on his impending martyrdom.</p>
<p>Later, stopping at Troas, Ignatius sent letters to <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1632" target="_blank">Philadelphia</a> and <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1633" target="_blank">Smyrna</a>, as well as a personal <a href="https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/fathers/view.cfm?recnum=1634" target="_blank">letter to Polycarp</a>.
There seems to have been a persecution in Antioch which ended during
Ignatius’s journey, for in the letters from Troas, he asked the
recipients to send envoys to congratulate and rejoice with the
Christians in Antioch.</p>
<p>These seven Epistles of Ignatius of Antioch are rich in theological
and mystical content, and are significant for their consistent depiction
of a monarchical episcopate. Their authenticity is attested by
Eusebius, who lists them in the above order and describes the content of
each, and by Origen and St. Irenaeus, who quote from them. St.
Polycarp, the recipient of the seventh letter, mentions them in his own
letter to the Philippians:</p><p><span></span></p><a name='more'></a> <p></p>
<blockquote>
<p>The Epistles of Ignatius which were sent to us by him, and others
which we had by us, we send you as requested. They are enclosed
herewith. You will be able to benefit greatly from them. For they are
conducive to faith and patience and to every kind of edification
pertaining to our Lord. [Quoted in Quasten, <i>Patrology,</i> Vol. I, 1950, p. 73]</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Ignatius’s writing is passionate and energetic. The letters to the
Romans and to Polycarp contain particularly striking imagery and fresh
modes of expression. In addition, we find here the first appearance of
the term “Catholic church,” meaning the whole body of the faithful
(Smyrn. 8).</p><p> </p>
<p><b>Mysticism and evangelization</b></p>
<p>According to Quasten, the mysticism of St. Ignatius draws from both
St. Paul’s mysticism of union with Christ and St. John’s mysticism of
life in Christ, leading to Ignatius’s ideal of “imitation of Christ”
[Quasten, p. 70]. Imitation of Christ involves a transformation as much
as an abandonment of the earthly way of life:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>They that are carnal cannot do those things which are spiritual, nor
they that are spiritual the things which are carnal; even as faith
cannot do the works of unbelief, nor the unbelief the works of faith.
But even those things which ye do according to the flesh are spiritual;
for ye do all things in Jesus Christ. (Eph. 8)</p>
</blockquote>
<p>If we do all things in Christ, it is because Christ does all things
in us. Ignatius emphasizes Christ’s immanence in the soul, describing
Christians as “God-bearers and temple-bearers, Christ-bearers” (Eph. 9).
In all his letters, in fact, he introduces himself as “Ignatius, also
called Theophorus [God-bearer].”</p>
<p>Christians bring others to Christ by prayer, love and good example.
We ought to “pray without ceasing” for others, for there is always hope
that they might repent. Teaching by example and love is paramount:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>See, then, that they be instructed by your works, if in no other way.
Be ye meek in response to their wrath, humble in opposition to their
boasting, [etc.]… While we take care not to imitate their conduct, let
us be found their brethren in all true kindness. (Eph. 10)</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Actions are preferable to words, and the efficacy of the latter depends on the former:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>It is better for a man to be silent and be a Christian, than to talk
and not to be one. It is good to teach, if he who speaks also acts…. He
who possesses the word of Jesus, is truly able to hear even His very
silence, that he may be perfect, and may both act as he speaks, and be
recognized by his silence. (Eph. 15)</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Indeed, faith is more than just a verbal profession. Faith cannot be
separated from love: “Those that profess themselves to be Christians
shall be recognized by their conduct. For there is not now a demand for
mere profession, but that a man be found continuing in the power of
faith to the end” (Eph. 14).</p>
<p><b>Martyrdom</b></p>
<p>We are called to imitate Christ not just in His virtue but in His
passion and death. For Ignatius, willingness to die for Christ is
requisite for discipleship. Indeed, he frequently calls himself one who
is “now but being initiated into discipleship” (Eph. 3), by means of his
captivity and imminent death.</p>
<p>He considers himself inferior to those to whom he is writing, because
he is a convict and cannot speak to them as though he were an Apostle.
He calls his own church in Syria that “from which also I am not worthy
to receive my appellation, being the last of them” (Trall. 13), which is
all the more striking given that one of the major themes of his letters
is the dignity of the episcopate and the importance of submission to
and unity with the bishop. He refers to his own need for humility, and
begs his addressees to pray that he may be found worthy of martyrdom.</p>
<p>For all his apprehension because of his own unworthiness, Ignatius
shows great eagerness for martyrdom. He considers his bonds to be
“spiritual jewels” (Eph. 11), and begs the Romans not to try to rescue
him: “Suffer me to obtain pure light: once arrived there, I shall be a
man” (Rom. 6).</p>
<p>One of the most famous passages of Ignatius describes in vivid terms the spiritual consummation of martyrdom:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>I am the wheat of God, and let me be ground by the teeth of the wild
beasts, that I may be found the pure bread of Christ. Rather entice the
wild beasts, that they may become my tomb, and may leave nothing of my
body; so that when I have fallen asleep [in death], I may be no trouble
to any one. Then shall I truly be a disciple of Christ, when the world
shall not see so much as my body. (Rom. 4)</p>
</blockquote>
<p><b>Christian unity and the episcopate</b></p>
<p>The most pervasive theme in all of Ignatius’s letters is Christian
unity. Union with Christ is not just a personal (in the sense of private
and individual) matter, rather it is “the bond which encircles all
Christians.” This union cannot exist without unity with one’s bishop
“through faith, obedience and particularly through participation in
divine worship” [Quasten, p. 73]. There can be no independence in the
spiritual life; rather, there is only one union with Christ in which all
Christians participate, in community and liturgy.</p>
<p>Ignatius constantly exhorts his addressees to respect their bishop.
He urges them to “defer to him, or, rather, not to him, but to the
Father of Jesus Christ, the bishop of all men” (Magn. 3). This
comparison of the bishop with God the Father is found throughout the
Epistles. Christians are to follow the bishop as Jesus Christ follows
the Father, to follow the presbyters as though they were the Apostles,
and to honor the deacons (Eph. 6, Trall. 3, Magn. 6-7, and elsewhere).
“Apart from these, there is no Church” (Trall. 3).</p>
<p>The exhortation to “run together in accordance with the will of your
bishop” (Eph. 4) indicates in a general sense the importance of respect
and obedience towards ecclesiastical authority. But Ignatius seems to
have the liturgy particularly in mind, since it is in common worship
that unity with Christ, under the bishop and with the whole community,
is expressed and effected. He writes:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>Let no man deceive himself: if any one be not within the altar, he is
deprived of the bread of God. For if the prayer of one or two possesses
such power, how much more that of the bishop and the whole Church! He,
therefore, that does not assemble with the Church, has even by this
manifested his pride, and condemned himself.… Let us be careful, then,
not to set ourselves in opposition to the bishop, in order that we may
be subject to God. (Eph. 5)</p>
</blockquote>
<p>The bishop is high priest of the liturgy, and in practical terms,
this means that baptism, the agape meal and the Eucharist may not be
held without authorization of the bishop, which renders such things
“valid” (Smyrn. 8). Those who wish to get married must also have the
bishop’s approval, so that “their marriage may be according to God, and
not after their own lust” (Poly. 5).</p>
<p><b>The Docetist heresy</b></p>
<p>Even in this early stage of Christianity, there was already a need
for bishops to protect the faithful from false doctrine. In his letter
to St. Polycarp, Ignatius exhorts the bishop of Smyrna to perseverance
and watchfulness in protecting his flock from heresy, and prudence in
preserving unity: “Every kind of wound is not healed with the same
plaster” (Poly. 2).</p>
<p>Ignatius attacks the heresy of Docetism, which denied Christ’s
humanity and said that “he only seemed to suffer” (Trall. 10-11, Smyrn. 2
and 7). Docetists also abstained from the Eucharist because they did
not believe it was the flesh of Christ (Smyrn. 7).</p>
<p>In combating Docetism, Ignatius sets forth a clear Christology and
doctrine of the Eucharist. Christ is both fully divine and fully human,
and truly suffered and died (Smyrn. 1-2): “There is one Physician, who
is both flesh and spirit, born and not born, who is God in man, true
life in death, both from Mary and from God, first able to suffer and
then unable to suffer, Jesus Christ our Lord” (Eph. 7).</p>
<p>As for the Eucharist, it is “the medicine of immortality, the
antidote against death, and everlasting life in Jesus Christ” (Eph. 20).
The following passage cannot be mistaken to say anything but that the
Eucharist is literally the flesh of Jesus:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess
not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which
suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up
again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death
in the midst of their disputes. But it were better for them to treat it
with respect, that they also might rise again. (Smyrn. 7, cf. Phil. 4)</p>
</blockquote>
<p>In Eph. 5, Trall. 7 and Phil. 4, the Church is called the “altar,”
which can also be translated as “the place of sacrifice,” meaning that
the Eucharist is the sacrifice of the Church [Quasten, p. 66].</p>
<p><b>"Presiding in love"</b></p>
<p>Finally, the salutation in the letter to Rome is highly significant.
It is much longer and loftier than the greetings found in the other
letters; it is clear that Ignatius accords the Roman Church more respect
than the others:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>Ignatius, who is also called Theophorus, to the Church which has
obtained mercy, through the majesty of the Mast High Father, and Jesus
Christ, His only-begotten Son; the Church which is beloved and
enlightened by the will of Him that willeth all things which are
according to the love of Jesus Christ our God, which also presides in
the place of the report of the Romans, worthy of God, worthy of honour,
worthy of the highest happiness, worthy of praise, worthy of obtaining
her every desire, worthy of being deemed holy, and which presides over
love, is named from Christ, and from the Father, which I also salute in
the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father: to those who are
united, both according to the flesh and spirit, to every one of His
commandments; who are filled inseparably with the grace of God, and are
purified from every strange taint, [I wish] abundance of happiness
unblameably, in Jesus Christ our God.</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Quasten calls this “the earliest avowal of the Primacy of Rome that
we possess from the pen of a non-Roman ecclesiastic” (p. 68).</p>
<p>The phrase “presiding in love” has attracted much scholarly
attention. It could simply mean that the Roman Church was the most
charitable of all churches, but the word “preside” is used twice in the
same sentence, the first time with a clear connotation of ecclesiastical
authority (“Which also presides in the chief place of the Roman
territory”). This Greek idiom appears only once elsewhere in Ignatius
(Magn. 6), where it explicitly refers to the authority of bishops,
priests and deacons.</p>
<p>There are more intriguing phrases along these lines elsewhere in the
letter: “You have envied no one; but others you have taught. I desire
only that what you have enjoined in your instructions may remain in
force” (Rom. 3). “Remember in your prayers the Church in Syria which
now, in place of me, has God for its shepherd. Jesus Christ, along with
your love, shall be its only bishop” (Rom. 8).</p>
<p><b>Sources</b></p>
<p>Collections of Ignatius’s epistles have come down to us in three
basic forms, called recensions. The collection containing only the seven
authentic letters listed by Eusebius is called the short recension. In
the fourth or fifth century, a forger, possibly a follower of the
Apollinarist heresy, added six spurious letters and also added spurious
passages to the original seven, creating what we call the long
recension. Finally, there is the mixed recension, which we have in Greek
and Latin, containing the seven letters in what seems to be their
original form along with the six spurious letters. There is also an
Armenian version of the mixed recension, translated from the original
Syriac.</p>
<p>The first version of any of Ignatius’s writings to become known was
the long recension, which was printed in Latin and Greek in the
fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, respectively. The authenticity of
this collection was doubted, but in the seventeenth century, the
primitive Greek texts of the original seven letters were discovered and
published. Because the letters so clearly show a hierarchical Church and
a monarchical episcopate, Protestants argued that they could not be
genuine, but in the nineteenth century prominent non-Catholic scholars
such as Zahn, Harnack and Lightfoot demonstrated their authenticity.
Also in the nineteenth century, three of the letters were discovered in
Syriac – the “Syriac abridgement” of the short recension.</p>

the many miracles of healing attributed to Padre Pio, some are so
unusual and unique that they have been the subject of much discussion
and controversy in medical circles. In these particular cases, the
person who has been healed lives a completely normal life afterward,
even though they continue to have all the physical symptoms of their
illness. From a scientific viewpoint, they are still sick. <br /><br />One such
person is Gemma di Giorgi.Gemma di Giorgi was born on Christmas day in
1939, in the Sicilian town of Ribera. Almost immediately, her mother
realized that her eyes were different from other children's eyes. The
truth was, Gemma was blind. Her mother took her to a doctor who was
unable to determine the gravity of her condition. She was referred to
two specialists in Palermo. They determined that Gemma had no pupils in
her eyes; that nothing could be done for her blindness; that her
condition was inoperable. Gemma's family was desperate, but there was
nothing they could do. <br /><br />Her parents often took her to Mary's altar in the
church to pray because they felt it would take a miracle to heal her
eyes. A relative who was a nun, advised the family to seek out Padre Pio.
Her advice gave the family a ray of hope. Gemma's grandmother asked the
nun to write a letter to Padre Pio on Gemma's behalf. When the nun
returned to her convent, she wrote to Padre Pio asking him to pray for
Gemma. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />One night the nun saw him in a dream. Padre Pio asked her, "Where
is this Gemma for whom so many prayers are being offered that they are
almost deafening?” In her dream she introduced Gemma to Padre Pio and he
made the sign of the cross on her eyes. <br /><br />The next day the nun received a
letter from Padre Pio in which he wrote, "Dear daughter, rest assured
that I will pray for Gemma. I send you my best wishes.”The nun was
struck by the coincidence of the dream and the letter that followed so
she wrote to the family and encouraged them to take Gemma to see Padre
Pio.<br /><br /> And so it was, that in 1947, the grandmother took 7 year old Gemma
to San Giovanni Rotondo to see Padre Pio, praying and hoping all the
while for a miracle. On the trip from Sicily to San Giovanni Rotondo,
Gemma's eyesight began mysteriously functioning.<br /> <img alt="" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/jV3DjTXecP-GoSm_XI3AUqOZrJPTx7NNIHcto96mqIxmHkilfxEhSWj6n1wD0VCgiZHktpxLme2DpsAG6KGf5q4EFU79fxJGD3q8OQ=s0-d" /><br />About
halfway to their destination, Gemma began to see the sea and a
steamship and she told this to her grandmother. Her grandmother as well
as other friends who were accompanying them, all marveled and began to
pray. Still, the trip from Sicily to the monastery was very long and
difficult. While Gemma's grandmother recognized the miracle that had
taken place, she was still preoccupied by the idea of seeking Padre
Pio's intercession in the matter. <br /><br />At San Giovanni Rotondo, Padre Pio
called Gemma by name before the child was ever presented to him. He
heard her confession, and even though she made no mention of her
blindness, he touched her eyes with the wounded part of his hand,
tracing the sign of the cross. At the end of the confession, as he
blessed her, he said, "Sii buona e santa.” (Be good and saintly)The
grandmother was upset that Gemma had forgotten to ask Padre Pio for the
grace of a healing while she was in the confessional and so she began to
cry. <br /><br />Gemma became upset also and began to cry. The grandmother went to
confession to Padre Pio and in her own words, "I asked the grace for
Gemma and I told Padre Pio that Gemma was weeping because, in her
confession with him she had forgotten to ask this grace.<br /><br /> I will never
forget his soft and tender voice as he answered me with these words, "Do
you have faith, my daughter? The child must not weep and neither must
you for the child sees, and you know she sees.” I understood then that
Padre Pio was alluding to the sea and the ship Gemma had seen during the
trip and that God had used Padre Pio to break through the darkness that
covered Gemma's eyes.” <br /><br />The same day, Padre Pio gave Gemma her first
Holy Communion and again made the sign of the cross over each of her
eyes. When Gemma returned to Sicily her eyes were again examined by a
specialist. The doctor, to test Gemma, held up various objects in front
of her and she was able to see each one of them. She was able to count
the doctor's fingers at a distance of sixteen feet. <br /><b>Gemma, even though
without pupils</b>, <b>had her eyesight; she could see.</b> The doctor declared
that Gemma's eyes were in no condition to see. There was no medical
explanation for it. Many doctors from all over Italy requested to examine
Gemma's eyes. This extraordinary cure, and the prophecy preceding it,
aroused enormous interest in the Italian press during the summer of
1947. Gemma's sight continued to improve and she was able to go to
school and learn how to read and write. She was able to lead a perfectly
normal life. <br /><br /><br />
Clarice Bruno, author of the book, "Roads to Padre Pio" met
Gemma in May of 1967. Clarice said that despite the fact that Gemma's
eyesight was functioning, she still had those foggy, strange looking
eyes that are a characteristic of the blind. Clarice told Gemma that she
was writing a book about Padre Pio and wanted to include in it the
story of Gemma's miracle. <br /><br />Gemma asked Padre Pio for permission to share
her story and he gave his consent. Gemma, due to the sunny and very
windy weather, was wearing sun glasses on the day she made the request
of Padre Pio. He commented on this. "Why,” he said as he passed his hand
over her eyes,"are you wearing glasses? You see very well.”Father John
Schug, author of "A Padre Pio Profile" who met Gemma and interviewed
her, also testified, "She looks like a blind person. Her eyes are sallow
and lusterless, but there is no doubt that she can see. I saw her reach
for a phone book, check a number, and dial the number without
groping."While the doctors could not all come to a consensus on the
subject of Gemma di Giorgi's medical condition, the facts that can be
definitely established are these: <br />(1) Gemma di Giorgi was born with a
severe congenital defect of the eyes; <br />(2) before the prayers of Gemma di
Giorgi Padre Pio were enlisted, her vision was either quite defective
or altogether nonexistent; and<br /> (3) afterward, though the physical
structure of the eye remained unchanged, Gemma was able to see
normally–even though officially classified as legally blind.So what must
the conclusion be? Simply that while Gemma and her grandmother were
traveling to San Giovanni Rotondo to ask for healing grace, the grace
came to them through the intercession of Padre Pio's prayers before they
had even arrived at their destination. God, for His own mysterious
reasons, had wanted it to happen this way. Gemma has since traveled the
world telling her story. </div>

At some point while standing on the roof of an old car

Almost as if on cue, our cameras began to overheat and shut down. </div>
<div id="tRvKq1">
The founder of Zero Mass Water told me that this kind of
early November heat was actually mild for the Arizona desert – and that
regardless of the dry climate, he and his team were still able to
produce water. </div>
<div id="3zDT3f">
Because that’s what Zero Mass does: harvest drinking
water out of thin air, using a combination of materials science, solar
power, and predictive data. The goal is to use this technology to go
from a position of “water scarcity to water abundance,” said founder and
chief executive Cody Friesen, regardless of whether you’re in an area
where access to clean water is a serious problem, or living in a place
where bottled water is often half-drunk and discarded. </div>
<div id="vH7rgh">
Zero Mass’ water-harvesting technology has been in the
works for the past six years. It was first developed at Arizona State
University, where Friesen was teaching engineering and materials
science. Over the past couple years, Zero Mass’ panels — called Source —
have been available to specific customers: multi-lateral institutions,
recipients of emergency aid, investors, and friends of the company. </div>
<div id="KT4Kvf">
But just a couple weeks ago, Source became more widely available to consumers in the US. So for the most recent episode of <em>Next Level </em>Season 2, we headed to Arizona to check out the Source panels and taste the water ourselves.</div>

<div id="5rpexm">
At the highest level, Zero Mass “take[s] sunlight and air
and we produce water,” Friesen said, as he showed me the Source panels.
“As you drill into that, the air part of that equation is applying air
into the materials that like water. So in the same way that when you
leave the lid off a sugar bowl the sugar bowl gets a little clumpy,
that’s because that sugar likes the water in the air. Our materials do
exactly that.” </div>
<div id="iJ6lyz">
If you’re not following, that’s okay; you’d likely have
to be an expert in materials science and fluid dynamics (or both) to
grasp the process immediately. It’s a multi-step system. The middle
strip of a Source panel is what you’d call a standard solar panel. On
either side is a proprietary porous material that generates heat.
Another proprietary material inside the panel absorbs the moisture from
the air. </div>
<div id="8qFQx2">
Then the panel uses sunlight to take the water back out
of those materials and produce a process that’s not unlike water forming
on grass; basically, when warm air hits a surface colder than itself. </div>
<div id="GSKGgj">
At that point the condensed water ends up in a 30-liter
reservoir under the panel. “The water is then flowed through a mineral
block that adds calcium and magnesium, and brings the PH up so it’s
slightly alkaline,” Friesen said, adding that the final product has what
he calls “perfect mouthfeel.” Each panel costs $2000 and produces an
average of two to five liters of water per day, Friesen said. A
two-panel array costs $4500: $2000 per panel, plus a $500 installation
fee. </div>
<div id="YxKV2b">
When I asked Friesen who Source is for – whether it’s for
consumers who can afford to pay $4500 out of pocket for cleaner
drinking water at home, or for people who are suffering from a serious
scarcity of clean water in less developed areas – his answer was broad:
everyone. </div>
<div id="auJuqy">
“Everybody who drinks water has to make sure that water
is healthful and available, right? That’s you and that’s everyone else
on the planet,” he said. “So when we think about who the end customer is
it really is anybody who thinks about making their water healthful and
great.” Friesen added that Source panels have, so far, been installed in
wide range of places: in hurricane-stricken Puerto Rico, at schools and
orphanages for refugees in Lebanon, and at high-end homes in
California. </div>

While visiting Zero Mass’ headquarters, I was able to
taste the water that came from the panels on the roof of the building.
It was good – much better-tasting than the tap water I had the night
before. </div>
<div id="zUm47E">
But I didn’t have a lot of visibility into how the water
from the standalone Source panels moved from roof to spigot, or how an
average consumer would make that work in their own home. I asked to
speak to early Source users to get a sense of how much water their
panels were producing for them, and the company wasn’t able to make
these early users available to me. We did visit the home of one Source
user who lives not far from Zero Mass’ headquarters, and chatted with
him outside of his home about his experience with Source; but found out
that he, like many other early testers, was considered a friend of the
company. </div>
<div id="HEh8aW">
One element we did have visibility into was Zero Mass’
network operations center, a small room lined with computer monitors.
The “NOC” is where engineers spend their days keeping a close eye on the
performance of the panels distributed around the world, as well as
changes in weather patterns that could impact water production. Each of
the panels is connected, sending data not only to home base but also to
the other panels in an array. </div>
<div id="VNKcEC">
“Each panel has a programmable circuit board that runs an
algorithm,” said Mike Robinson, a mechanical engineer at Zero Mass.
“And the algorithm is constantly adjusting those set points so that we
maximize the amount of water we make. We record that data….so we can
teach the panel how to adjust to climate change such that it is always
optimizing the water that it makes.” </div>

<div id="dAaR7o">
Zero Mass’ approach to harvesting water appears to be a
technically sound process. And, as Friesen pointed out, Source’s total
structural independence may be one of its most innovative features. But
the company’s goal of making Source available to everyone, everywhere,
is an ambitious one. </div>
<div id="daKKax">
There are also questions worth asking around how
cost-effective it is in the long run. Dr. Ashok Gadgil, Chair Professor
of Safe Water and Sanitation in the Environmental Engineering department
at UC Berkeley, has been working on water problems since 1993, focusing
largely on developing countries. He said that harvesting water from the
air is certainly a viable option – in fact, his Berkeley colleagues
have been <a href="http://news.berkeley.edu/2017/04/13/device-pulls-water-from-dry-air-powered-only-by-the-sun/">working on a metal-organic framework that also absorbs water from the air</a>. But this wouldn’t be Dr. Gadgil’s first choice for sustainable water production. </div>
<div id="MCQYBn">
“Condensing water from moisture in the air, is viable if I
was on a desert island, I had lots of money and there was no other
source of fresh water and I was going to die,” he said. “Then the value
of my life is what is now pitted against the cost of that water.” </div>
<div id="rOxs4b">
He emphasized that you have to “define the competition”
when considering water options. “If am able to go to the supermarket and
buy a bottle of water that’s the other alternative, the third
alternative may be, I can just find some poor quality water and boil it
and make it safe to drink. What is the comparison? Unless we define the
competition, we wouldn’t know if this is the right affordability for the
water.” </div>
<div id="G7SDA8">
But Friesen insists that Zero Mass has the most <em>sustainable</em>
water supply. “Today it takes far less energy (effectively none, since
it’s entirely solar powered) to create drinking water with Source than
any other mechanism,” he said via an emailed statement after we had left
Arizona. He also said the company has long-term plans to provide Source
water for advanced agriculture.</div>
<div id="sB3o0D">
As the technology scales, he said, “that means water abundance in bulk.” </div>

and quinine – which are both used to flavor tonic water – prevented
airway inflammation and other characteristics of allergic asthma in
mice.</figcaption></figure></div>
Researchers from the U.S. and Australia reveal how chloroquine and quinine prevented the development of allergic <a href="https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/info/asthma/" title="What is Asthma?">asthma</a> in mice by activating the rodents’ bitter taste receptors.<br />
Chloroquine and quinine are compounds that are used to treat <a href="https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/150670.php" title="Malaria: Causes, Symptoms and Treatments">malaria</a>, and they are also added to tonic water in order to give the beverage its distinctive, bitter taste.<br />
Dr. Pawan Sharma, of the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and
School of Life Sciences at the University of Technology in Australia,
and colleagues recently published their <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/srep46166" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">findings</a> in the journal <i>Scientific Reports</i>.<br />
Asthma is estimated to affect around <a href="http://acaai.org/asthma/about" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">26 million</a>
children and adults in the U.S. The most common form of asthma is
allergic asthma, which is triggered by exposure to dust mites, pollen,
pet dander, mold, and other substances. <br />
Inhaling such substances can lead to <a href="https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/248423.php" title="Inflammation: Causes, Symptoms and Treatment">inflammation</a> of the airways, causing symptoms such as shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing, and chest pain.<br />
While there are medications that can help patients to manage their
asthma symptoms – such as corticosteroids and beta2 agonists – Dr.
Sharma notes that there are currently no asthma medications that target
disease progression.<br />
“Our current research on taste receptors is
crucial in identifying new classes of drugs that can be an effective
asthma treatment option in future,” he adds.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
According to Dr. Sharma and colleagues, previous <a href="https://www.nature.com/nm/journal/v16/n11/full/nm.2237.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">research</a>
found that activating bitter taste receptors on the tongue, called
TAS2Rs, led to the relaxation of smooth muscle in the airways of asthma
mouse models.<br />
<br />
The new study aimed to build on those findings by
assessing whether TAS2R agonists – that is, compounds that stimulate the
bitter taste receptors – have the potential to reduce some of the key
features of asthma.<br />
To reach their findings, the researchers gave
mouse models of allergic asthma intranasal doses of either chloroquine
or quinine. <br />
Twenty-four hours after administration, the lung
function, airway inflammation, and airway structure of the mice were
assessed upon exposure to two allergens.<br />
<b>Not only did
chloroquine and quinine prevent airway inflammation in the mice, but the
bitter compounds also prevented other key characteristics of allergic
asthma, including mucus accumulation and structural changes to the
airway.</b><br />
<br />
The researchers also tested chloroquine and
quinine on human airway cells. They found that the compounds block the
chemotaxis, or movement, of immune cells in the airway in response to
allergens, which helps to prevent airway inflammation.<br />
<br />
Dr. Sharma
and team note that further studies are needed in order to identify
TAS2R agonists with higher efficacy for the treatment of asthma.
“Alternately, existing drugs could be repurposed for asthma therapy,”
say the researchers, adding that:<br />
<blockquote>
“Advances
in medicinal chemistry and computational modeling should catalyze the
drug discovery process in exploiting TAS2Rs as novel anti-asthma
therapeutic target.”</blockquote>

<div class="container content-width3" style="--font-size: 26px;">
<div>
<br />
<b>Note:</b> <b>The following is offered as a report of my experience, and not as medical advice. </b><br />
You are likely to own a bottle of this purported remedy, because it is <b>3% hydrogen peroxide</b>,
the same H2O2 you have probably used on cuts and scrapes or, as a
doctor suggested to me, as drops for ear wax. The strange thing is that
to use it to treat an oncoming flu or cold or other infection, you are
also supposed to put the drops into your ears, but strange or not, it
has worked well for me and my children and grandchildren and friends.
Interestingly one client has told me that when she was a child this
method was used successfully to treat her ear infections.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://alexandriamyotheraphy.townsquareinteractive.com/files/2017/12/IMG_0469-e1446383513771.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="IMG_0469-e1446383513771" height="300" src="https://alexandriamyotheraphy.townsquareinteractive.com/files/2017/12/IMG_0469-e1446383513771.jpg" width="224" /></a>If you research hydrogen peroxide for colds and flu, you will read on various sites <a href="https://www.healingdaily.com/exercise/hydrogen-peroxide-in-ears.htm" target="_blank">(here is a typical one)</a>
that in 1928, a Dr. Richard Simmons theorized that cold and flu germs
enter not through the mouth or nose but through the ears, and that
putting hydrogen peroxide into the ears would stop the progress of these
diseases. I have my doubts about his theory, but, so far, no doubts
about the effectiveness of peroxide.<br />
<br />
This is what I do if I feel that I am coming down with something: I
lie on my side and put a dropper-full into my upward-facing ear. There
is a bubbling that occurs and it is said that one should wait until it
subsides. Simple and cheap, yes, but also boring, so I read while I’m
waiting. I treat the other ear in the same way. In my experience
symptoms begin to diminish within minutes, but I have found that in
order to become asymptomatic, I need to repeat the process two or three
times over the next day or two.<br />
<br />
If the illness is already established,
there may be a lesser response or no apparent response at all.<br />
In 2002 Dr. Joseph Mercola posted an article on his popular website
about this use of H2O2 and then took it down because he believed the
source to be suspect and because no studies have been done on this
method. <a href="https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2002/03/27/hydrogen-peroxide-part-two.aspx" target="_blank">He reposted it</a>, however, after hearing from so many of his readers about how well it had worked for them, and then <a href="https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/11/22/the-common-cold-simple-strategies-for-prevention-and-treatment.aspx" target="_blank">wrote about it again in 2010</a>,
saying that “[m]any patients at my Natural Health Center have had
remarkable results in curing colds and flu within 12 to 14 hours when
administering a few drops of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into
each ear.”<br />
<br />
I agree with Dr. Mercola that the best way to deal with colds and
flus is to try to prevent them by getting enough sleep, avoiding sugar,
getting out in the sunshine, etc., but I find it comforting, too, to
know that as winter approaches, I have H2O2 in my medicine cabinet.<br />
*Please note that there are other forms and strengths of hydrogen peroxide which may not be safe to use.</div>

She discusses some of the popular NAD+ boosters like nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide, what animal and human data says and some concluding thoughts.
NAD+ is crucial for our survival. Small amounts of it can be obtained in the diet, but the body recycles it to get most of what it needs. Unfortunately, day to day living plus normal aging can cause NAD+ levels to drop. This causes metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction, as well as many of the other problems and conditions associated with aging like elevated DNA damage. NAD+ levels can go up when we exercise or fast, but NAD+ precursors like nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide can also increase NAD+ levels in a dose-dependent manner. However, most of the data on NAD+ boosters comes from animal studies. Whether these boosters are effective – and safe – long-term in humans is still a big question. </span><br />

<div id="Article">
(NaturalNews) Parents concerned about their vaccinated children
potentially contracting measles from unvaccinated children may want to
consider the fact that the bigger health threat is technically the
vaccine, not the disease itself. Comparative data provided by the U.S.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Vaccine Adverse
Event Reporting System (VAERS) reveal that <b>nobody</b> has died from
measles in more than 10 years, while at least 108 deaths reported in
VAERS during the same time frame have been linked to measles vaccines.<br />
Many
of our older readers probably remember a time when measles wasn't
viewed with the obscene level of paranoid hysterics being witnessed
today. Like chickenpox, measles was a common childhood infection that,
after running its typically mild course, imparted lifelong immunity in
those who contracted it. The risk of serious complications or death from
measles has always been overwhelmingly minimal, in other words, with
previous generations viewing it as something of a rite of passage.<br />
Fast
forward to today and all rationality and common sense has gone out the
window on this issue. The media is reporting a few isolated cases of
measles as if it were the black plague, calling for those who don't
vaccinate their children to be ostracized from their communities or even
jailed for "putting others at unnecessary risk." But where are the
facts in all this unsubstantiated mania, which unfairly tags the
unvaccinated as dangerous lepers?<br />
Once again, the media is discarding factual reporting in favor of mindless sensationalism, attributing an alleged <a href="https://www.naturalnews.com/measles.html">measles</a>
resurgence -- even this claim is specious -- to the unvaccinated.
Whether or not this claim is actually true pales in importance compared
to the fact that measles really isn't much of a threat in the first
place. The measles <i><a href="https://www.naturalnews.com/vaccine.html">vaccine</a></i>, on the other hand, is a whole different story.<br />
"There
have been no measles deaths reported in the U.S. since 2003," the
Associate Press reported based off statements made by Dr. Anne Schuchat,
director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory
Diseases.<br />
Meanwhile, VAERS, which captures only a very small
percentage of the actual number of injuries and deaths associated with
measles <a href="https://www.naturalnews.com/vaccines.html">vaccines</a>, reports at least 108 <i>deaths</i>
associated with measles vaccines since 2003. Of these, a shocking 96
deaths were reported in conjunction with MMR, which is now the preferred
vaccine for measles immunization.<br />
<h2>
Measles deaths were virtually nonexistent prior to introduction of vaccine, which is now triggering outbreaks<br /><a name='more'></a></h2>
Some will try to argue that measles deaths are essentially nonexistent now <i>because</i>
of measles vaccines, the first of which was introduced in 1963. But
this argument holds no water -- U.S. measles mortality data shows that
deaths from measles rapidly declined in the years leading up to when the
first vaccine was introduced, validating the success of improved
sanitation and better nutrition in making measles a non-problem.<br />
This plotted graph from <i>HealthSentinel.com</i> visually illustrates this:<br />
<img alt="image" data-pin-no-hover="true" height="374px" src="https://www.healthsentinel.com/joomla/images/stories/graphs/us-measles.jpg" width="600px" /><br />
"What
you may not have heard, is that by 1963, the death rate from measles in
the United States had already dropped by approximately 98%," explains
the International Medical Council on Vaccination (IMCV).<br />
Not long after it was introduced, the first measles vaccine was actually found to manifest <i>worse</i>
symptoms of measles in vaccinated patients than if they hadn't gotten
the vaccine at all. The vaccine also suppressed the normal rash and
fever associated with measles, obstructing the normal immune response
and ultimately leading to future health problems for vaccinated
individuals once they reached adulthood.<br />
"[W]hereas natural
measles exposure generally left the person with reliable lifelong
immunity, measles vaccines leave the individual with waning immunity,"
adds IMCV. "This dynamic of waning immunity means we will probably see
measles epidemics even in highly vaccinated populations."<br />

<em><strong>This document has been updated <a href="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/the-phases-of-a-geeker-gate/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">here</a>.</strong></em><br />
First we must thank Jeff from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/thejeff007" rel="noopener" target="_blank">World Class Bullshitters</a> for coming up with the initial idea for someone to map this out, when <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp8nOGQKLpFhtoIOOUVK40g" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Ethan Van Sciver</a> mentioned that all of the “Gates” had a similar pattern.<br />
<br />
In another video, Sir Ethan mentioned that he hoped Jeremy from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfwE_ODI1YTbdjkzuSi1Nag" rel="noopener" target="_blank">TheQuartering</a> would join him in an online stream about this, so hopefully we’ll get his insight into this at some point.<br />
Since publishing my initial blog post which outlined <em><a href="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2018/06/30/the-phases-of-a-geeker-gate/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">The Phases of a Geeker Gate</a></em>, I’ve received feedback and criticism from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NBDd_UpRS8" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Ethan Van Sciver</a>, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwiVpuUoeUE" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Veeh</a>, and of course, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agsy0pSWMaQ" rel="noopener" target="_blank">World Class Bullshitters,</a> among
others. So I’m going to update these Phases taking into account that
feedback and criticism, and adding a few additional thoughts of my own.<br />
<br />
But, this will probably always be a work in progress as SJW tactics
shift and change, so I still invite and encourage suggestions, insight,
criticism, debate, and feedback of all kinds from others.<br />
Again, I want to stress, that my primary interest is in film and
television. So others that are more deeply involved in comics,
novelizations, video games, board games, role playing games, card games,
etc., may have additional insight.<br />
<br />
In this outline, IP stands for Intellectual Property, and is meant to
be a general term to encompass many different types of franchises.<br />

The evolved SJW.</div>
</div>
<span><strong><em>THE PHASES OF A GEEKER GATE</em></strong></span><br />
<strong>1. SJW CRITICISM –</strong> A popular IP is criticized by
SJWs for being racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, and a smattering
of other things. This will often manifest in media articles and
academic papers which push this false narrative. This phase can take
place over the course of years, or even decades.<br />
<br />
<strong>2. IP IS ABOUT TO UNDERGO REBOOT –</strong> or reimagining,
or remake, or whatever term is fashionable at the time. The rebooted
production will tout “firsts,” first female, first person of color,
first LGBTQ+, etc., even if the IP has already had them before. They do
this to contrast their new version as far more virtuous and progressive
than the previous version, which they spent years or decades labeling
as racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, etc.<br />
<br />
<strong>3. THE BARNACLING –</strong> SJWs barnacle themselves to the
IP within the production, and start transforming the IP from its
original form. This strategy is sometimes referred to as <a href="https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/staggers/2016/08/what-does-entryism-mean" rel="noopener" target="_blank">entryism</a>.
Production staff make claims that long time customers will stay with
the IP no matter what the changes are. SJWs outside of the production
barnacle themselves to the customer base, and start lecturing long time
customers. Shill media SJWs write articles pontificating about how
diversity is good business and touting diversity “firsts,” without
regard to the fact that the IP may have already been diverse for years
or decades.<br />
<br />
<strong>4. CUSTOMER CRITICISM –</strong> Long time customers of the IP voice legitimate criticism of the new direction.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<strong>5. SJW RESPONSE TO CUSTOMER CRITICISM –</strong> A large
customer backlash is created when SJWs both inside of the production,
and outside of it in the customer base and shill media, falsely accuse
critics of being racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, etc., usually
to protect a criticized political message being pushed by the newly
transformed IP that the customer base is criticizing. SJWs will also
attempt to stigmatize use of the term “SJW” as a pejorative, so that
you’re unable to identify the problem and articulate points. SJWs will
completely ignore female, people of color, and LGBTQ+ critics, and/or
marginalize their voices.<br />
<br />
<strong>6. DISMISSING AND IGNORING THE BACKLASH –</strong> Shill
media publishes pieces declaring that the backlash doesn’t exist. Shill
media also publishes pieces instructing others to ignore the “tiny
vocal minority,” some of whom used to be the old “gatekeepers” of the
community.<br />
<br />
<strong>7. SUPPRESSING THE BACKLASH –</strong> Blogs, internet
forums, social media, and other websites delete or otherwise “redact”
critical comments and posts in discussion forums under the aegis of
“hate speech,” and may even engage in the complete banning of accounts.
Some websites remove their comments sections altogether.<br />
<br />
<strong>8. BACKLASH INTENSIFIES –</strong> As an inevitable side effect of suppression <a href="http://mentalfloss.com/article/67299/how-barbra-streisand-inspired-streisand-effect" rel="noopener" target="_blank">the Streisand Effect</a>
takes hold, as customers seek out other venues to express their
criticism, and some publish their own, growing the backlash
exponentially.<br />
<br />
<strong>9. HATE HOAXES, FALSE FLAGS & CLONED ACCOUNTS –</strong> The rank and file SJW activists in the customer base get heavily involved in shouting down critics, and creating <a href="http://moonbattery.com/links/Hate-Hoax-List.html" rel="noopener" target="_blank">hate</a> <a href="https://www.blackandblondemedia.com/lib-hate-hoaxes/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">hoaxes</a> and <a href="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2018/05/31/i-have-not-formed-any-partnerships-or-affiliations-with-anyone/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">false flags</a>
in an effort to discredit those critics. Such efforts are also
intended to be picked up by shill media outlets, which will then report
on them to further mischaracterize the critical customers. SJWs will
create cloned social media and discussion forum accounts that mimic
known critical voices, in an attempt to discredit them and/or divert
payments/donations for products or causes away from the critical
customer. SJWs will often operate hidden forums where these tactics are
organized.<br />
<br />
<strong>10. ESCALATION OF ATTACKS – </strong>SJWs will report posts
as spam or a violation of rules, and attempt to get social media
accounts suspended, and posts deleted. SJWs will start to send out
false press releases to rival websites in an effort to discredit their
critical competitors. SJWs will begin to search through public records
such as child support or foreclosures in an effort to embarrass loud
voices, a practice known as <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/what-do-to-if-you-are-being-doxed/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">doxing</a>.
SJWs will send out phishing attempts in an effort to gain personal
information. SJWs may attempt to contact the workplaces of loud voices,
in an attempt to punish critical customers financially for speaking
out. SJWs may attack normal people with physical violence.<br />
<br />
<strong>11. IP FAILURES –</strong> The IP starts to falter as
customers start to drift away and sales begin to plummet. This is
either due to a drop in quality of the IP, or the poor treatment of the
customers, or a combination of both.<br />
<br />
<strong>12. THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS –</strong> A female member of the
production (it could also be a member of the LGBTQ+ community) is
granted victim status over a fishy event in order to deflect from the
failures of the IP, and shame critical customers into silence. The
damsel in distress is used as a political pawn both by the SJWs inside
the IP, and the SJWs outside of the IP in the customer base and shill
media. If the first Damsel In Distress doesn’t quite work, another one
will come.<br />
<br />
<strong>13. DESPERATE PLEAS FOR COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT –</strong>
“White Knights” in the shill media call for creative authorities to
smack down the backlash, and restore control of the narrative in
response to The Damsel In Distress event. Shill media publishes
multiple articles with the same talking points and catchphrases such as
“toxic fan base” or “bad faith” in an effort to mischaracterize the
customer base. Major news outlets report on the story, and quote those
“think” pieces as authoritative.<br />
<br />
<strong>14. ANSWERING THE CALL –</strong> Celebrity and creative cast
& crew SJWs inside of the IP answer the shill media’s call, and
make public statements admonishing critical customers, typically over
false accusations. Critical customers will respond to the
admonishments, and SJWs will call that response “abuse” and/or
“harassment,” sometimes alluding to the notion that “creatives” deserve
special consideration. Remember, what SJWs call “abuse” and/or
“harassment” when customers do it, they call “activism” when they do it.<br />
<br />
<strong>15. THE FINAL PUSH –</strong> Shill media entities, and rank
and file SJWs tell long time customers to go find something else if they
don’t like it anymore, in a last ditch effort to push critics out of
the “community” once and for all. “Don’t like it, don’t buy it.”<br />
<br />
<strong>16. IP BLEEDING –</strong> The IP starts to hemorrhage money, as long time customers begin to abandon the IP in droves.<br />
<br />
<strong>17. CUSTOMER BASE OBLITERATION –</strong> The customer base is utterly destroyed, leaving behind only the small handful of SJWs who don’t make any purchases.<br />
<br />
<strong>18. THE END –</strong> The new incarnation of the IP comes to
an end. Since the majority of the customer base has abandoned it,
there’s no more controversy or discussion about it. It’s over. The best
case scenario is that the original IP is largely forgotten with the
exception of a few die-hards who still carry the torch. The worst case
scenario is that the new incarnation of the IP overwrites the original,
and the original IP is forgotten altogether and overshadowed by the new
incarnation in all future shill media mentions.<br />
<br />
<strong>19. MIGRATION –</strong> The SJW is primarily interested in
popular IPs that have a large audience, which can serve as a vehicle to
spread their political message as widely as possible. Therefore, the
remaining SJWs jump ship from the decimated IP, to devour a new IP that
is popular and undergoing a transitional phase that they can barnacle
themselves to through <a href="https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/staggers/2016/08/what-does-entryism-mean" rel="noopener" target="_blank">entryism</a>.<br />
<br />
<strong>20. REBIRTH –</strong> The process begins again, in the newly targeted IP.<br />
Sometimes these phases might be skipped, sometimes they may happen in a slightly different sequence.<br />
<br />
Now, this isn’t just happening in geek IPs. It’s happening in every cultural institution in America, and it’s known as <em>“The Long March Through The Culture.”</em>
So the Geeker Gate serves as a microcosm of what is happening in the
much larger scale cultural civil war. To understand the foundational
and historical basis for Geeker Gates, read <a href="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2018/07/01/understanding-the-historical-and-foundational-basis-of-geeker-gates/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">this blog post here</a>.<br />
<br />
<hr />
What’s particularly interesting to me, is that shortly after the publication of my first blog post on <em><a href="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2018/06/30/the-phases-of-a-geeker-gate/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">The Phases of a Geeker Gate</a></em>
which was published on June 30th, certain SJW personalities began
chatter about a “pattern of behavior” or the “same playbook” used by the
“same people” in Gamergate, Comicsgate, etc.<br />
Bryan Young and Rian Johnson on July 9th:<br />

Mathew Rozsa from Salon even went so far as to <a href="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2018/07/20/sjw-attempts-to-author-his-own-phases-of-a-geeker-gate/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">write his own version of the <em>Phases of a Geeker Gat</em>e</a> from
his SJW perspective, and tried to offer tips on how to combat it, which
turned out to be an ill informed and hollow attempt. But here’s the
reason that Mathew Rozsa, or any other SJW for that matter, is incapable
of offering anything similar to the <em>Phases of a Geeker Gate</em> or ways to combat it; they don’t read opposition.<br />
Heck, they proudly proclaim their ignorance of the opposition as some sort of badge of moral superiority, or something.<br />
<img alt="BadFaith" data-attachment-id="3598" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-description="" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"0","credit":"User","camera":"","caption":"","created_timestamp":"1532049064","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"","orientation":"0"}" data-image-title="BadFaith" data-large-file="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/badfaith.jpg?w=584" data-medium-file="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/badfaith.jpg?w=300" data-orig-file="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/badfaith.jpg" data-orig-size="631,480" data-permalink="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2018/07/21/the-phases-of-a-geeker-gate-updated-plus-countermeasures/badfaith/" src="https://disneystarwarsisdumb.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/badfaith.jpg?w=584" /><br />
They don’t just block individuals, but block entire chains of people
who follow anyone who might disagree with them. They delete posts in
comments sections, ban forum accounts that express contrary opinions.
When presented with a link to an article that is sure to contain
information they will disagree with, they scoff at the source as an
excuse to arbitrarily dismiss the story without having to read it. So
the fact of the matter is; they’re truly ignorant. That’s not just my
opinion, and this isn’t just anecdotal.<br />
<br />
Social psychologist Jonathan Haidt conducted research into what
conservatives understood about liberals, and what liberals understood
about conservatives. He found that <a href="https://hotair.com/archives/2012/04/13/confirmed-conservatives-understand-liberal-positions-better-than-liberals-understand-conservative-positions/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">conservatives understand liberal positions, better than liberals understand conservative positions</a>. And it’s clear why; for the most part, SJWs refuse to read opposition material. Furthermore, liberal leaning <a href="https://www.investors.com/pew-center-study-of-american-online-habits/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Pew Research Center found that liberals are far less tolerant online than normal people</a>,
as liberals admitted to blocking people who express opinions they
disagree with twice as much as conservatives do. So why is this
important to a Geeker Gate? It gives normal people a decided advantage,
because SJWs are mostly ignorant as to what normal people actually
think, say, and do. How could they know when they don’t read opposition
material?<br />
<br />
Mathrew Rozsa and other SJWs can attempt to author their own version of the <em>Phases of a Geeker Gate</em>
all they like, but they’re making it up off the top of their head.
When I wrote my original blog post, I based it partly on my own
experience with other IPs decades ago. But I also went to the very
beginning of this blog, and went through blog post by blog post where I
analysed SJW “think” pieces one by one to determine if a pattern
existed, and what it might be. Thus the <em>Phases of a Geeker Gate</em>
blog post was born. SJW attempts to do the same, will simply not be as
informed because of their refusal to read opposition material.<br />
<br />
But now that we understand the <em>Phases of a Geeker Gate, </em>we can use that knowledge to develop countermeasures.<br />
<hr />
<em><span><strong>COUNTERMEASURES</strong></span></em><br />
Some have suggested that there are Crisis Management Firms who
orchestrate these events. If that is the case, then the fact of the
matter is that they’re likely using critical customers to perpetuate
controversy and generate artificial buzz over the IP, since the material
itself just isn’t good enough to do that on its own. In which case
there’s really only one real countermeasure available to us; to simply
walk away and cease all purchasing of any products or services related
to the IP immediately upon getting the very first whiff of SJW politics
before any of this even starts, and to not comment on any of it at all.
Offer them total and utter silence on the matter. Just walk away.<br />
<br />
That’s a monumental task. Particularly with large customer bases
that have people of varying perspectives. And frankly nearly
impossible, given that most people have some natural fight in them. So I
offer the following countermeasures for consideration. Again, I invite
criticism, debate, suggestions, alternative insight, and feedback.<br />
<br />
Please keep in mind that these countermeasures are as of yet untested, and will need further refinement.<br />
<br />
Here they are in no particular order:<br />
<br />
<strong>1. OFFER ALTERNATIVES –</strong> During Phase 1 before the
rebooting begins, when SJWs come sniffing around looking for gender and
race issues, kindly suggest to them that the IP is not for them. Nicely
offer alternative IPs that might be more to their liking, and even
suggest that they might be talented enough to create their very own IP
in their own SJW image. Honey works better than vinegar here.<br />
<br />
<strong>2. CONTACTING THE IP MANAGEMENT–</strong> This is
challenging, because SJWs are political activists and propagandists
rather than genuine artists or entrepreneurs. Their primary concern of
pushing a political message will always outweigh their desire for
profit; a word that they often spit out as a pejorative. They see
themselves as cultural managers or stewards, rather than blue collar
workers producing a widget, or managers operating a business. So this
will have limited effect once they take hold inside of an IP, but
anything is worth a shot. As soon as the rebooting production begins,
contact CEOs and other management and let them know that you will walk
away from the IP if SJW politics are pushed, and that you’ll encourage
others to do the same.<br />
<br />
<strong>3. CONTACTING SHAREHOLDERS –</strong> This is more powerful
than contacting anyone inside of the IP. The shareholders are motivated
by profit because of their investment; they expect a return They are
the ones with real power. It’s best to contact them when the rebooting
process begins, to let them know you will walk away if SJW politics
appear.<br />
<br />
<strong>4. SEND SHAREHOLDERS THE PHASES –</strong> Very early on,
send all the shareholders copies of The Phases of the Geeker Gate, so
that they can watch it happen in real time as it occurs. This may help
to create a sense of urgency in them.<br />
<br />
<strong>5. CONTACTING MERCHANDISING MANAGEMENT –</strong> After SJW
politics make an appearance, contact the management and CEOs of toy
companies, book publishers, T-Shirt manufacturers, and any other
merchants connected with the IP. Let them know that you’re walking away
from the IP and their products because of the SJW politics being
pushed, and that you’ll encourage others to do the same.<br />
<br />
<b>6. CONTACT ADVERTISERS –</b> If there are any advertisers
connected with the IP in any way, you can start a list of them and
contact them, perhaps even going so far as to suggest a boycott of their
products if they don’t withdraw advertising from the IP.<br />
<br />
<strong>7. BOYCOTT –</strong> As soon as possible. Withhold your
purchasing power from all films, toys, t-shirts, comics, novels,
merchandise of any kind the very first moment that SJW politics appear.
Do not give television or streaming shows any ratings. Encourage others
to do the same, and inform the shareholders that you are doing this.
If you really have to satisfy your craving for material related to the
IP, purchase vintage material from eBay that was produced before the
rebooting.<br />
<br />
<strong>8. BUYCOTT –</strong> The opposite of a boycott. Purchase
products and services from any personalities or entities who support
your side, and encourage others to do the same. Advertise the fact that
you’re using the money you’re saving from the boycott, to fund the
parties who understand and support your criticisms.<br />
<br />
<strong>9. DO NOT TOLERATE SUPPRESSION –</strong> Don’t tolerate
months of having your posts deleted or being banned in online forums or
elsewhere. They’ll do their very best to convince you that you’re the
“bad actor.” Don’t believe them. Begin publishing your perspective on
your own immediately upon experiencing the very first instance of
suppression, in whatever media format you favor.<br />
<br />
<strong>10. ENCOURAGE LEAKS –</strong> If there is a civil cultural
war going on within the IP as well, then encourage those on your side
who are inside the IP to leak information.<br />
<br />
<strong>11. CREATE CONFLICT WITHIN THE IP –</strong> They’re going to
do everything they can to get customers to fight amongst themselves.
Return the favor. Pit celebrities and creatives against one another
with their own public statements as often as possible. Celebrity A said
something bad about celebrity B? Make sure celebrity B knows about it.<br />
<br />
<b>12. MONETIZE SJWs –</b> Produce T-Shirts and mugs that mock,
satirize, and/or lampoon commonly parroted SJW memes, buzzwords, and
catchphrases. Earn a profit while doing so.<br />
<br />
<strong>11. LAND, SEA & AIR –</strong> Customers have to fight this in all media forms; video on YouTube, audio podcasts, text on blogs and websites.<br />
<br />
<strong>13. KEEP AN ARCHIVE –</strong> Understand, one reason that
SJWs get away with much of this is that they constantly revise history.
So someone has to archive events as they happen, along with
accompanying investigations when they happen, and be ready to present
those things when an attempt at revisionism occurs. It’s the very best
way to discredit false narratives.<br />
<br />
<strong>14. PRE-EMPT IP FAILURE NARRATIVES –</strong> Go on the
offensive. During the rebooting production of Phase 2, if you have Q
& A sessions or are conducting an interview of any kind, immediately
ask the production staff or creatives if they plane to accuse the
customer base of racism and misogyny, if the customer base criticizes
the direction of newly rebooted production.<br />
<br />
<strong>15. AVOID CUSTOMER INFIGHTING –</strong> Oftentimes SJWs will do their best to get critical customers to fight with one another. Avoid falling into this trap.<br />
<br />
<strong>16. IGNORE PROFESSIONAL UBER FANS –</strong> Some of these
entities rely on the IP for a portion of their income, so they’re
motivated to keep it afloat, and mischaracterize critics. The real
fight is always between the customer and the IP. Engaging with these
professional fans on any level is a complete waste of time and effort,
unless absolutely necessary. Oftentimes these professional fans will
see a decline in their viewership/readership, so they’ll try to pick a
fight with a rising star in order to get that rising star to mention
their name, so they can siphon off some views.<br />
<br />
<strong>17. DISCREDIT SJW ACTIVISTS –</strong> Nearly everything SJWs claim is false. All it takes is some time, and Googling to find that out. <a href="https://archive.org/web/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">The Wayback Machine</a>
is a useful tool as well, to view websites and blog posts that have
been altered. When hate hoaxes, false flags, and the Damsel In Distress
appears, you’ve got to find the source of any claim, and clearly
demonstrate that it’s unsourced, or a hate hoax/false flag, or posted by
a cloned account, etc., with real supporting evidence. Immediately and
publicly disassociate from any hate hoaxes/false flags, and publish all
evidence of the discrediting as soon as possible. Show the evidence.
Show the other side’s lack of evidence. Spread it far and wide.<br />
<br />
<strong>18. CHANGE THE CONVERSATION – </strong>When the shill media
starts talking about the Damsel In Distress Event, ignore it until you
have evidence to discredit it. Instead, respond to these accusations
with discussion of the misbehavior of accusatory creatives and
production staff. Show where that has happened with cited evidence.<br />
<br />
<strong>19. READ OPPOSITION MATERIAL REGULARLY –</strong> It’s the
very best way to improve and hone your arguments. It’s also the best
way to know what your opposition will say and do, before they say and do
it. Some people may block you, but you’ll have to get around that to
find out what they’re up to. Remember, all SJWs think in unison with a
singular hive mind. They are slaves to political fashion trends. So
predict commonly parroted arguments, and pre-compose responses with
linked citations to sources ready to go.<br />
<br />
<strong>20. SPREAD THE WORD –</strong> Publish and talk about these
phases and countermeasures in any media format that you favor, to
educate normal people about how all of this works and how to fight it.<br />
You can also watch this video:<br />
<br />
<span></span><br />
<hr />
<em><span><strong>CAN A LOST IP EVER BE RECOVERED?</strong></span></em><br />
After the IP has lost its luster, after the customer base has
abandoned the property, after the SJW locusts have moved on to a
currently popular and successful IP, and all that is left is a
desiccated husk that merely shadows the original IP, can it ever be
recovered or rehabilitated? Anything is possible, but I suspect that
it’s very unlikely. Once something gains the stench of SJW politics,
normal people rarely want anything to do with it any more, except
perhaps after an extended period of time.<br />
But if you make the attempt, be prepared to be demonized by SJWs for that as well.<br />
When neighborhoods are destroyed due to the high crime that SJW
policies inevitably facilitate, normal people flee the neighborhoods.
After a time, the neighborhood becomes a ghost town. SJWs like to refer
to that as “white flight,” as a way to deflect from the fact that
people of all colors and backgrounds are fleeing the SJW policies that
destroy neighborhoods. The neighborhood exists as nearly a ghost town
for an extended period of time. Then after a while, investors start to
become interested in rehabilitating the neighborhood, since the majority
of the crime has now also left due to no one being around to steal from
or assault. When these investors do come in and try to improve the
neighborhood, that effort is demonized by SJWs as <a href="http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2015/01/the_gentrification_myth_it_s_rare_and_not_as_bad_for_the_poor_as_people.html" rel="noopener" target="_blank">“gentrification.”</a><br />
If an attempt is made to recover and revitalize a lost IP, I imagine
SJWs will attempt to utilize some variation of the “gentrification”
demonization, and you ought to be prepared for that.<br />
