Mormanism: The Book of Abraham

Here is a pretty good documentary that show that Mormonism's "Book of Abraham" has no credibility. It is a shame that so many people who seem to be pretty nice are tricked by this fake book.

Existence of God Debat : D'Souza vs, Singer

D'Souza does an admirable job.

I think D'Souza needs to link the Kalaam argument to the Big Bang. For anyone to say that the universe has always existed or even posing multi-universes begs the question.

The Klamaam argument in my simplified form would be : If time is change. Anything that changes could not always have existed.[more here]

Low Tech Missionaries

Here is the kind of thing that Catholic missionaries should be training in, besides theology. Low tech answers to common problems (click here for a previous post,  a low tech idea  on  how to make bad soil good). It is  a Catholic tradition to have technology at the service of man. The Jesuit missionaries were the discovers of a treatment for malaria; French monks helped farmers to improve farming techniques, and  the Czech Abbot Gregor Mendel founded the new science of genetics, which was a big help to agriculture.
